On behalf of LYNX Medical Systems™ we are pleased to announce the general availability of Version 7.1 of LYNX E/Point®, LYNX I/Point™ and LYNX C/Point®. Version 7.1 is the latest release of our outpatient revenue management solutions and is part of our commitment to bring consistent and compliant charging to your hospitals outpatient services. Version 7.1 also includes the addition of two new products to our outpatient revenue cycle management product suite: LYNX Infusion Charging Manager and LYNX Observation Charging Manager.
LYNX Infusion Charging Manager – The continued attention from the RAC program and payer audits have increased the urgency for compliant infusion and injection charging in every department in the hospital. Infusion Charging Manager is priced and packaged to bring the confidence and certainty of the LYNX infusion charging algorithm to any department that needs to calculate infusion service charges. It is the perfect complement to existing E/Point, I/Point and C/Point products because it makes LYNX technology available to departments that do not require other features that are part of the outpatient charging solution.
LYNX Observation Charging Manager — Increased attention to the cost of inpatient care and enforced proof of medical necessity is requiring hospitals to rely more on observation services. Now there is an increased need for accurate and compliant charging for this crucial time spent in the hospital. LYNX Observation Charging Manager is a web-based application that provides the certainty and confidence of LYNX algorithms. It has the ability to easily calculate total observation time, exclusions for separately monitored procedures, document administered procedures and calculate infusion and injection charges. Most importantly, Observation Charging Manager maintains the continuity of charges that originated from previous treatment encounters.
As with all LYNX revenue management solutions, Infusion Charging Manager and Observation Charging Manager have quarterly performance monitoring, trained implementation teams and supported by the LYNX Compliance team in the event of a payer audit.
